Yes, it's based on the templates from oswd. I combined two templates and made this one.
I want to run a perl program, but I can't. How can I do it on CityU's server?
If what you want to do requires a database, then it will be difficult to do through Blackboard, which is just a content management system. What do you have in mind - maybe we can work out another solution?
I want to make a guestbook, that needs a database. I tried to telnet to the CityU server and followed the instructions on the web, but it still didn't work. Now, I put the guestbook on my own server and link to it from the course project.
Okay, glad you found a solution. By CityU server are you referring to the Unix ~personal account? I'm just curious! For this guestbook function past students have used hosted services before.
Yup, what I mean is the Unix account. I put my perl file that and followed the instructions to chmod ....... but still CGI error, so I gave up.
I don't like the hosted service, I like my own one which can fit the style of the webpage.
